Membership in NNSEJC

A State or Tribal elder justice (or elder abuse) coalition is an ongoing multidisciplinary State or Tribal level collaborative whose mission is identifying and addressing gaps or inadequacies in policy and practice related to elder abuse detection, prevention, and intervention. Besides coalitions, they may be called networks, councils, commissions, associations, partnerships, centers, and task forces.

Eligibility for membership in NNSEJC is open to any group that meets the above definition of a State or Tribal Elder Justice Coalition or is in the process of
establishing one. Member organizations must ascribe to the mission and purposes of the Network and have an assigned representative and alternate. Exceptions to these membership requirements may be granted by consensus of the Steering Committee or other designated Network governing body.

To join NNSEJC, send the following information to [email protected]:
  • Name and address of the state coalition
  • Contact person
  • Coalition website, if applicable
  • Name of designated representative(s) to NNSEJC, and contact information
  • Brief statement describing how the applicant coalition meets NNSEJC's definition of state and tribal elder justice coalitions.

Designated representatives will receive periodic communications, including updates on NNSEJC and invitations to participate in conference calls, webinars, and other activities.
