CEJC's Blueprint in Action: Promising Practices in Equity & Inclusion (December 7, 2023)

Webinar Recording

In this first in a series of webinars that focus on CEJC’s new Blueprint, Reinforcing California’s Elder Justice Infrastructure: Committing to Equity and Inclusion (2023), this webinar spotlights programs that exemplify the Blueprint’s ideas and strategies.  While each program is unique, all are committed to listening to the voices of those they serve, partnering with community leaders and volunteers, leveraging resources, and celebrating diversity.  Our panel of dynamic leaders will describe culturally responsive approaches that include the use of “ambassadors” to reach underserved communities, conflict coaching, community gardens, mediation, and hate crime prevention.  It’s an event that’s sure to inspire.

Moderators:
Lisa Nerenberg,  CEJC Executive Director
Donna Benton,  CEJC Steering Committee Chair

Panelists:
Karen Grimsich,  Administrator, Aging & Family Services, City of Fremont Human Services
Jeremy L. Chan,  Staff Attorney, Asian Pacific Islander Legal Outreach
Victoria Jump,  Director, Ventura County Area Agency on Aging

This webinar was made possible by a grant from The Archstone Foundation.
